Our Impact…
Teacher orders filled in 2024-2025
Dollar Value of Supplies Distributed in 2024-2025
On average, NC teachers spend around $1,600 of their own money on classroom supplies each year. The Teacher Supply Warehouse helps offset that burden by providing Guilford County Schools (GCS) educators with free new and gently-used supplies all year. We can only do this with the support of the community.
GCS Educators – Sign Up to Shop!
The new Warehouse location at 134 Franklin Blvd, GSO will re-open for the busy back-to-school season on July 21. Sign up today to shop using our new app! Click here, then follow the directions below.
4. Once signed in, you will see “Teacher Supply Warehouse Home.” Click “Schedule a visit” and select a date and time that works best for you.
If you can’t log in, doublecheck to ensure that you are spelling everything correctly. If you need help, please email warehouse@shift-ed.org.
Shopping Frequency: You can only register for one shopping appointment during the back-to-school season (July – August). This enables us to ensure that we have enough inventory to meet the needs of all of our shoppers. The system will not allow you to sign up for an additional session during this time frame.
Warehouse Locations
Greensboro – The main Teacher Supply Warehouse is located at 134 Franklin Blvd, off of East Market St in Greensboro. Look for the big Quonset Hut! This location will re-open on July 21, 2026.
High Point – This smaller satellite location is located at Oak View Elementary on 614 Oak View Road, High Point, in the mobile units off of James Road. This location will re-open in late September.
How the Teacher Supply Warehouse Works
The Teacher Supply Warehouses are open to all GCS educators. Educators must sign up for a date and time to shop. Please bring your GCS I.D. to your shopping appointment. GCS educators can shop up to 4 times a year. Anyone with a GCS I.D. can shop at the Teacher Supply Warehouse!
Eductors can shop for a variety of items throughout the year. At each shopping visit, a set amount of points are given to use for new, high-demand items, like paper, pencils, glue sticks, dry erase markers, copy paper and more.
We also stock a wide variety of new and gently-used items, including books, STEM supplies, arts and crafts materials and more!
4 Ways You Can Help
1. Donate Supplies: When you are out shopping, grab a few school supplies and drop them by the Warehouse. Or donate gently-used items like games, puzzles, arts and crafts supplies, and more. Donation hours at the main Warehouse location (134 Franklin Blvd, GSO) are:
10am – 5pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
2. Purchase Supplies from Our Amazon Wish Lists: We have themed Amazon Wish Lists that match our themed rooms in the new Warehouse. Click one of the themes, purchase items and they’ll be sent directly to the Warehouse – making an impact couldn’t be easier! Lists: Classroom Essentials, Literacy Library, STEM, Wellness, Organization Station, and Creative Arts.
2. Host a Supply Drive: We have everything you need to do this – boxes, posters, even email templates! Organize a drive at your office, house of faith, club or other gathering place. Donations help us keep the shelves stocked! Supply drives can be virtual or in-person. To get started, email Lenny Patterson at lenny@shift-ed.org
3. Make a Monetary Donation: We double the value of every dollar donated by purchasing new supplies at wholesale costs. This is an easy way to make a difference! Make a donation online here.
